After a few mods were made to my Suzuki, I traveled across Australia on this bike taking on some of the toughest tracks there is. The Anne Beadell way, Victoria, Gibson and Great Sandy deserts, Finke and the Simpson Desert to name a few. 9,600kms in 3 and 1/2 weeks. What an absolute workhorse this bike was. With me and my gear the DRZ400E carried 140kg’s of weight and at times an extra 40kg’s in fuel. The only bike to have no issues at all and it was ridden hard!! Not even a flat tyre. Very solid, very reliable more than capable and an awesome fun little bike. This bike has lots of kms left in it yet!!!! I am extremely happy with my purchase from CMC.
Hey there! I got my 2003 ZZR1200 Kawasaki serviced today. I must say its great to have friendly and helpful staff looking after me, your service department is second to none 11 out of 10! The old girl ran like dream on the way home, was tempted to open her up but the boys in blue were cruising! Thank you very much, I can now go on my 3 week holiday knowing every thing is good to go!
All the best from Brad Lucas
Thanks Canberra Motorcycles and also thanks to Brendon, Clint & Linda for their excellent help in the recent purchase of my Suzuki and riding gear.
I have recently begun learning to ride motorcycles. On the weekend of the 8-9 of February, I was undertaking the Stay Upright Rider Training Course, and preparing to buy my first bike – a Kawasaki ZZR250. On the Saturday after my first day of training, I went to the CMC to purchase my riding gear.
At this point, it is important to note that although I had clear specifications of what I wanted, and minimum standards, I had very little knowledge of the attributes or qualities of the available gear. I am, as it were, a newbie to the whole riding scene, and perhaps quite out of my depth.
In the showroom, I was shown the riding gear, and a salesperson named Clint came to assist me. Clint’s service was exceptional, and precicely what I needed at the time. He was enthusiastic, but also very serious. He actually listened to what I had to say, and truly tried to meet my needs, while also giving me all the time I needed. I never felt pressured, but instead felt understood. In the end, I walked out with a full compliment of high quality riding gear, within my budget, and a deeper understanding of the various aspects of the gear – I was confident with my purchases and hadn’t felt the need to compromise.
I myself have had a fairly long career focussed in customer service, and I was highly impressed with Clint’s service that day. Clint ought to be congratulated on his efforts, and I thank him personally for assisting me to such a high calibre.
